I am, but live outside of Portland, and it's just to far to drive, cause I've been too busy lately.
How long is the track? I looked online and could see no infor about the track.

Great pictures, it looks like you were having fun.

I don't really know what Auto-X is, can you explain a little? I did a few vid searches on Youtube, and it seems like you just run a course designated by some cones?

I just bought my E90 335i, and frankly I'm scared to track the thing with other cars on the track! If I want that kind of excitement, I'll drive in Ballard! Seriously though, my driving skills aren't quite ready for real racing. Hell, I've been driving mid-size SUVs for the past 3 years, and haven't had a sedan in that time.

But it seems like Auto-X is just against a clock, and there are no other cars on the course at the same time? That seems less likely that I'll crack up my car, or anyone else's for that matter.

The track is designed by cones, and each event would have different design. The track is usually 1 mile long or less, so the running time can be between 60 sec and 90 sec depends on skills and the design.

It is a time event, so one car per time. If you spin out, there are ton's of road space (old airport run way) before you roll into grass. It can be considered as a very safe event.

You don't need tons of skills to drive in one; in fact I took some friends there last time who is not really into cars and he got hooked It is a great time for you to understand the car, and where the limit is.

I auto-x my last car for 5 years, and learn a lot from each event. And I got to avoid some accidents on the road when the car lost its grip in rain or snow.

Come out and learn about your car.
