New Wheels and tires question:

Hello,

I am planning on buying some new Spring/Summer tires and wheels. I am going with Pilot Super Sport in the following staggered setup: 235/35/19 for the front and 265/30/19 for the rear. Anyone running that setup on an E90? Does it rub in the rear? Thank you.

Funny I am actually running that exact set up. I sold my style 225 wheels for the 19" 313 m sport wheels and realized the run flats suck so I bought the pilots... Same sizes too. Went with 265 on the back instead of 255 and I may even go 275 next time. It's perfect. HUGE difference .. Tires stick way better and launch off the line without your dtc going off.

Doesn't rub at all. Hope this helps.

Sorry I'm actually running 225/35/r19 on the fronts and yes same as yours on the rear. I wouldn't go wider on the fronts... Just wider on the rears.

Hmm, I would want to go to 275 for the rear (my motivation is an aggressive stance plus more traction), but not sure if it would rub. I'm still learning about tires and how they fit on the 3 series.

So, you're almost certain that 275 would work perfectly?

Garage List
I hate you right now...
That's the set-up I want

Plus, those wheels accent my black E93 with chrome trimmings and nose

Cries a bit** :'(

As others have noted, I think that 235s might be tight in the front. I have 225/255-19's PSSs - love them, awesome wet and dry. Maybe if my rears wear faster, I might consider 265s when the time to replace them comes.

Regards
D.

My wheels are Miro CSLs with a Hypersilver Finish and were purchase from **********s, click on the web link, it has the E90 wheel spec. http://www.**********s.com/Miro-CSL-Style-Wheels-19.htm
I don't have any problems with rubbing and I have always liked the CSL look. The below offset is suposed to be most wheel and tire combo that you can fit on the E90 without rub when track driving. If you do get rub with this combo better get an alignment.

Wheel fitment specifications:

Frt. Wheels are 19x8.5 ET35-Offset
Frt Tire Size 235/35/19

Rear Wheels are 19x9.5 ET33-Offset
Rear Tire Size 265/30/19
