FREE activation of rear fogs
yes I know somewhere on this site there is a DIY on activating your rear fogs... and one post I saw was REALLY clever using a Lego and some other sort of part .. so when I saw that post it inspired me to get a looksee.. so I took the light switch apart and realized it can be done using all stock parts in the same setup without adding anything. and can be completed in about 5 mins .. I\'m not sure if any of you are
interested but if a few are I would be glad to do a quick write up on it. |

I don't see why they should be banned. it's the people that drive with them on 24/7 that are the annoying ones. if there is very dense fog....or snow it is a nice safety feature. and front fogs? how are those annoying they are aimed at the ground more of less .. they don't do a whole lot
but still just saying |

There's already a lot of DIY's on here if you search....it isn't hard to take the trim off, remove the switch and open it and remove the tabs.
I am just ordering one because I want the fog light emblem on my switch lol |

I'm thinking about doing the mod one day when I'm bored. I think it may be useful for when I'm sitting a stoplight when in neutral if the road is flat, 6 speed here. Sometimes I just don't want to sit there on the brakes. Rather put the fogs on and make people think the third brake light is broken.

Why does the OP need to do a write up when there was one done? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=Rear+Fogs |

yes I understand there are already write ups but I guess the point I tried to make was I had a write up that took less than 5 mins and didn't change anything visually (good for those of you who lease) so if you simply wanted the fogs active without going through a huge project or anything you could. anyway if anyone still wants it I'll write it up. if you already know how to do it then why are you in this thread lol

Completed this mod on my 2011 328, rear fogs do not work, switch is fine and dash rear fog light lights up.
And I agree with others here, this is old news,
