BMW 640d SE auto

Thanks pjs!

I have just had a proposal accepted for one on a personal lease package! No commitment until I sign the order form but I have secured a car for factory order and March delivery........ From a BMW Dealer.

Driving one next friday

The deal is incredible!

The car stats are hugely impressive. 315 bhp twin turbo diesel, 620 odd torquey things, 0-60 5.5 secs, 51.5mpg (!) standard spec is huge. They are big cars though, 4.9metres long!

I was pestering Audi dealers again today, finally put the TT to 'bed'. Great car in most respects, but the technology is crap, audio poor and integration of Bluetooth and iPod is bad. I drove an A5 again, with B&O, AMI, DAB and it is, leagues better. The MMI is excellent and I really hope the 640 can match it.

Awesome...any pics of the spec from the configurator would be good

It even sounds half decent

Pleased for you peter! The deal is an absolute no brainer for anyone with that budget. The service I had from the guys at niche was first class as well. A real shame that deal wasn't on when I went for my merc in November. 2 years with one car eh!

Not totally commited at this stage! The deal that hooked me was for the SE, but will enquire about the M sport, but it is a non starter if it is lots of £'s more. I would have the luxury of a factory order, so colour and interior is up to me; standard spec is very high:

- metallic
- dakota leather
- 8 speed automatic, not DCT though
- pro media - navigation, b/t, online portal, voice control, telematics etc
- USB audio
- PDC front and rear
- 10.2" display for nav etc
- 18" alloys
- loudspeaker system BMW (?)
- folding mirrors
- front seat heating
- sport automatic transmission
- drive performance control (?)
- ambient lighting (?)

Suspect some of these pictures are M Sport... I am drawn to red for some reason, but I like the cinnamon interior which doesn't go with red, so maybe metallic black and cinnamon?... (I can't save the configurator pics of this combo)

Pictures are of the M Sport and it's quite a lot extra. I normally prefer the MS package, but IMO, the new 6'er looks better in SE.
You won't be bothered about it not being DCT, the 8 speed sport auto is excellent. I drove the new M5 (with DCT) earlier this week, huge performance, but too much of a song-and-dance for me. Re-confirmed to me just how accomplished my F10 535d is. Trading in soon for a 640d.
