Error free HID Fog Lights one stop shop??
Alright so I've been through error free cancelers from ddmtuning.com and tried using the 4700 capacitors and nothing seems to ever continue working longer then a minute. I am not worried about spending 200 bucks anymore on a pair of HID's that won't shut off within minutes. So if anyone knows of a one stop shop that I can go online and order them and put them in with no problems whatsoever please let me know. Thanks

our MTEC HID fog light kits are error free for all years of BMW, we just need to know your BMW model/year as the earlier models will need a different ballast

Have the HPB HID's in my fogs - supposedly error-free - constantly threw error codes in my 09' E92 from beginning.
They tried to solve with new ballasts, still got errors. Never could figure why the errors (even with the ballasts double grounded), maybe some cars are just more sensative than others? In the end, I just coded out the cold/warm bulb checks for the fogs and problem solved

Get the HPB kit. 1Quik's car is a notable exception to a car that never has thrown an error with their kits. The HPB kit has had the best record of being error free, even on picky 06/07 years. But if I were you, I would additionally code out the warm/cold bulb check, like 1Q has suggested. You can do it yourself (check the coding forum for how to get started), or you can bring it to someone to do it for a few $.

You need to buy the appropriate cable from approved vendor for $90, download the 'free' BMW software and follow the detailed instructions to load/use.
All this info can be found in the forum 'Coding' Section. If you are using an XP laptop & approved cable, the software install and use is fairly simple - plus there are many other cool things you can code into your car. As to the Cold/Warm bulb checks - there are lines of code in the FRM module of your car that dictate whether these checks are made for every exterior light on your car. It's quite popular to code out these bulb checks when replacing with LED lights so there is no flicker of the LED's at startup. When checks are ON (aktiv), the system shoots a certain voltage thru to each bulb to see if the bulb is burned out or not - and if out, it lets you know via iDrive or error message. This voltage is high enough to actually lite up an LED because LED's need much less voltage to activate.

As others have mentioned the high performance bulbs kit has a great track record.
Here is the specific link you need for BMW's : http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/bmwhidfoglia.html I would email them first and let them know you have a 2007 so they can set you up with the appropriate hardware. |

Just got the alpinemss kit on '06 330i and ran for an hour straight. No problems.
I decided to go with alpinemss because they're local and install for free. So if the kit doesn't work with the car I can just leave and not deal with the return shipping. |
