so far i am thinking about exhaust -any suggestions? and aFe intake: http://afepower.com/shop/details_new...0L&&brandID=56 is it worth the money to buy either or both or is there something better out there? |

AA Tune is for power Three stage intake manifold swap is for power. Intake/Exhaust are all personal preference. Search and there a tons of threads comparing all of them. Good Luck and welcome |

I would get the AFE magnum intake, AA tune, Bmw Performance Exhaust and be done with it...its a clean looking car. Just do those 3 things and you will be happy with it over stock. Will it be a rocket? No. But for daily driving you'll enjoy it.

I have the same car as you and I currently have the pe exhaust and love it! I am considering that same intake as you as it say it will gain like 12 Hp so why not? And seriously considering a eurocharge

where'd you get the exhaust? and Yeah thats true it is plus 12 hp but at $555 it is a lot. About $46 per hp. But if you do get it would you get the oiled filter or dry filter? also, explain eurocharge plz?

As for gains, anyone who believes the claims and think any of these intakes provides significant performance gains try this... Test your car with a new stock OE filter. Next test your car with NO air filter. The difference between these two is the maximum theoretic gain you can achieve....in most cars this is 1-2%. But hey it's your money. You guys should really do some searching before buying into the advertising. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343619 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...8&postcount=19 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169169 http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p=22700 |

I don't believe it improves throttle response. The throttle is HEAVILY dampened by the ECU. And it's not that it "doesn't do much for power," it loses power.

The only type of intake that tends to yield favorable gains is an intake that keeps the intake air temp cool/dense, in other words a CAI (cold air intake) like the one Dinan designed. |
