There are a few members on this forum that purchased this kit and they are happy with it. Don't let one negative post rotten your mind. I'm looking into getting this kit and will definitely do some research.

There have been complaints and only a few have posted who bought it. I would definitely not purchase this without more in depth reviews from people who have ran it for at least a year or more.

By my math, that's about a 25-33% failure rate. WAY too high for me! If ESS or VF had that kind of failure rate they'd be out of business. Plus, the failure thread stated that the SC design is externally lubricated and a 20 yo design. No thank you!

pretty sure every member on these N/A forums have followed the SC threads closely. No definitive reviews, only hearsay, positive talk, and negative results

those pictures show compressor damage due to something making it's way through the intake and killing the supercharger. This is what happens when you don't run a filter, or if for some reason, your filter fails/falls apart and the turbo/SC sucks something in.
There can be other kinds of failure though. if this unit is externally lubricated and requires regular maintenance, I can see parts failing if this is neglected. However, this is 2012, and you shouldn't need to have to manually oil your supercharger's bearings. If this is the case, it's a very poorly designed system. |

I'm not working for ARMA. I want to share the details with other members as a lot of us are interested in the SC kit. Apparently ARMA is the only company that offers SC kit for our cars as we are speaking. In general there are mixed reviews for every product in the market. I totally agree with you about definitive reviews. From personal experience before you buy something pricey, talk to the vendor about their warranty and have them state the terms on the receipt or send you a hard copy. Their is no way you can tell whether the product is good or bad unless you own one.
