halogen headlight upgrade to xenon

Hello everyone.I'm new to this forum and searching it for my question but could not find any usefull info, here is my question:

I have a 2011 F18 with halogen headlights,made in china.I want to upgrade the halogen to xenon.the headlight assembly or bulbs,and CIC software.
from the info i have read...i was confused now.

any tips,thanks a lot

does anyone know how to use HID conversion kit on my halogen lowbeam H7?
the bulb is H7 but there is a metal plate that goes on top of the bulb and sandwiched by plug out of the car thats what locks it in place, when i replace that halogen bulb that plug coming from the car won't fit on top of the hid bulb making it impossible to lock in the socket!!! please help

Looks like you'll have to do some custom work. Does the metal plate come off? Can you trim it?

This is probably BMW's way of saying you should have bought our factory xenons.
