QTP Electric cutouts set up?

Its basically an electric valve installed after your seconary cats, same as having a muffler delete set up i guess..

Anyone tried or heard this esxhaust set up on a 335i before?

I've heard it on few other cars before and it sounds amazing to be honest...too much drone at low RPMs tho

Ive seen it a few times on other platforms, it works well if its wired through a WOT switch.
Never seen it on a 335i, but why not put it before the secondary cat? That way the car won't smell during normal operation, but when you romp on it you still get the effects of a catless exhaust(assuming catless DPs)

Ricey, redneck, ghetto, whatever term you like to use. It's a noise generator, not my cup of tea. Seen them on other BMWs, sounds like crap. Lots of American muscle cars run them for street drag races, thinking open exhaust = more power. Many exhaust companies have proven that incorrect.

Of course this wont be as high quality as having an aftermarket exhaust...but its a quick relatively cheaper alternative
And you can always close the valve for long drives

I learned this is not good for NA yes, but for turbos this is different as you will have less backpressure and more free flow

It's been a couple months since i've been under the car near the midpipes so i cant exactly remember how much room is there, but im fairly sure some of those cutout are fairly compact, so you may be able to squeeze a pair in.

It's the exact same thing as the flap in the OEM exhaust.

I was going to add this feature in the spot where the secondary cats are. Opted out because I was told they eventually start leaking and sound like crap.

When installed in the correct location (the key), an exhaust cutout (whether electric or manual) can increase power and decrease spool time on a turbocharged car. Yes, it doesn't acutally make the engine make more power...but it does decrease the losses it sustains thru a restrictive exhaust system. I've seen a few turbo cars that have gained 30whp on a dyno between open & closed cutouts. As far as cutouts on a NA car, gains will probably be minimal if any. All is dependant on how restrictive the exhaust system is on the specific vehicle.
