Stage 0 logs

Hi guys,

Been trying to figure out why my logs has quite a few timing drops.

I am on 11-25 stage 0 using 98 Octane, it is frustrating that I can't even get my log to look perfect even on stage 0!

Mods are on my sig (FBO).

Spark plugs had been changed last week as I was getting misfires before and now it is fine and car runs a lot better but I am still getting timing drop.

HPFP and Injectors was replaced 2-3 months ago.

I did 4 runs (third gear pulls)

Any suggestion would be great - tried emailing Shiv but he doesn't reply me

Others have suggested for me to go meth but surely I can resolve this without going meth!?!?

I guess these new aggressive maps were made primarily with meth use. I have yet to see any decent logs without timing drops all over the place, unless someone has logs to show me otherwise. Since your full bolt on, mind as well get it over with and hook up methanol injection

That is NOT a stage 0 log. look at the boost... AND you're flatlining timing post-shift.

This year has been an expensive year for me - I am trying to cut back on mods for a few months

So I guess I should go back to 7-29 maps then?

I dunno. How are the logs with the 7-29 maps! Modding does get quite expensive

Well, according to Shiv it's caused by fuel trims, which isn't what I gather from my findings. My honest opinion, e-mail Shiv and get his feedback. I would guess he knows his tune better than anyone else.

He has a customer service phone number in his signature. Give him a call, if someone over there doesn't respond to e-mails or phone calls, then you have every right to be upset.

I personally never had any problem getting a hold of Shiv but your mileage may vary and it's been a long time since I contacted him about anything.

Hmm that would be a last ditch effort as Australia --> USA international call could get costly! not to mention I would probably have to call at like 3 AM here

Op below is a link to my Dyno with data logs in the body of the thread. Did runs map 1 no Meth and Map 4 with Meth.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ghlight=Proper

I have no issues running full bolt on with no Meth and aggressive maps. Mind you the maps I'm running in thisdyno are the 11-01 you may want to try them as they are final as not beta like th 11-25. Good luck.

Some cars just need some special attention with tuning... Either due to environment, engine condition, gas, etc. Mine does. I did some non-meth logs the other day that i can post when i get to that computer. They are very smooth, but i did have to detune the stock 11-1 maps. That being said a couple timing drops is not the end of the world, but i myself don't like to see any either.

Fair enough - reason why I am on 11-25 is so I can use the Stage 0 map as the stage 1 has even more timing drops - more then I am comfortable with!

I guess I just want my car to run perfectly, I get very jealous seeing peoples log with smooth timing curve!

It seems I need to get meth... need to save $$$... just bought the car 9 months ago and all this mods in 9 months took a toll for my wallet hhaa...

I too had timing drops in my logs while running the 7-29 maps on 10psi and race gas. I got a hold of him and he told me that it maybe something mechanical and suggested I seafoam the car.

I replied that doesn't really help with intake valve cleaning but he thinks there is some buildup inside the chamber?

I'm going to log more today and see what happens. Keep in mind I am on rev 2 and you are on rev 2.5 if that matters.

Good luck

Plenty of pump-only logs on Stg 1,2,3 with perfect timing on here...

There are plenty of guys with good logs on pump gas.

I think your problem might be coilpacks or carbon build up.

Yeah I guess so but lately there have been alot of logs showing otherwise. I guess it's isolated issues. Very weird though

Problem is a lot of people are in upper mileage with a lot of hardware issues that are not as prevalent on slower maps. These maps do require detailed attention to hardware and making sure they are up to the task.

As you know, HPFP,LPFP, Plugs, Coilpacks, injectors, vanos all need to be in tip top condition.

What is the elevation in Australia where the OP is located?

I'm sure also OL is a big issue here. Those of us at hight altitudes need an small change to OL accordingly
