Wanted: E90 Air Box

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
As the title states I need an OEM airbox for an 2006 330i. Also if an airbox from a 325i will work than I would be interested in that as well. Im do for smog but the airbox I currently have is damaged. I need it ASAP. Willing to drive within a reasonable distance in order to get the part. I'm in Sac and able to pay shipping if you are to far.

Why do you need it for smog, you can still do it with aftermarket intake.

From what I have been told, it wont pass smog in california w/out the OEM air box because of the strict emission regulations in this state. If that is not the case please clue me in on what intake I could pass smog with.

Thanks,
Serena

I have one for $90 shipped, or $75 pickup in San Francisco.

I have gone before with aftermarket CAI on a non-BMW, the one that I'm more worried was what kind of exhaust was on it, if the catalytic converters (CA's) are removed. That's where emissions is flagged the CA's. I had flowmaster's and is much louder than stock and I passed.

I don't think it matters with intake, it matters with the exhaust, drop by the smog shop, ask them "is this a problem", if not then save the trouble and get it done right there and then.
