Wanted: E90 Air Box
As the title states I need an OEM airbox for an 2006 330i. Also if an airbox from a 325i will work than I would be interested in that as well. Im do for smog but the airbox I currently have is damaged. I need it ASAP. Willing to drive within a reasonable distance in order to get the part. I'm in Sac and able to pay shipping if you are to far. |

From what I have been told, it wont pass smog in california w/out the OEM air box because of the strict emission regulations in this state. If that is not the case please clue me in on what intake I could pass smog with.
Thanks, Serena |

I have gone before with aftermarket CAI on a non-BMW, the one that I'm more worried was what kind of exhaust was on it, if the catalytic converters (CA's) are removed. That's where emissions is flagged the CA's. I had flowmaster's and is much louder than stock and I passed.
I don't think it matters with intake, it matters with the exhaust, drop by the smog shop, ask them "is this a problem", if not then save the trouble and get it done right there and then. |
