Maintaining the new car smell - How?

Hi,

I do not have leather seats but have leatherette instead. I was hoping to find a product that can help restore the 'new car smell'. Would you recommend any specific product?

I was thinking of purchasing Zaino Z9 or Zaino Z10, but I don't know if that would work well on leatherette.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I use Z10 on my seats, dash, and door trims. Works great, has uv protectant, and smell great!

Does it matter if its leather or leatherette?

Only way to get new car smell would be to spray some fake new car smell scent, and that generally doesn't work that well. In short...you can't.

German cars have quite a unique aroma that is quite distinct. I like it. The leather has a lot to do with it. Keep it clean and the smell will take care of itself.

For leather I use Mothers leather cleaner followed by Mothers leather conditioner. Smells/feels awesome for weeks.

Awesome list. For the part highlighted in bold, Use:
Z9 or Z10?
Aerospace 303?
Any other?

chemical guys leather conditioner works and has a good leather smell
never used the Zaino stuff, although I hear is smells good
303 wont give you the smell, but it does protect (might be a bit slippery though)

So funny I remember reading some place how toxic that "new car smell" is. All those chemicals being released into the cabin .
