Quaife installed on diff now leaking

Had Quaife LSD installed at local BMW dealer as they were approved installer per HPA's website. Any rate went to get an alignment done and place said differential was leaking. Upon inspection it would appear neither retention clip was on either side of where axle buttoms up to the differential, you could seperate it from the seal by hand, thus no real seal and leaks. BMW dealer is saying the part is bad because it is popping out the clips, HPA is saying they have never heard of this. Could it be BMW never put the clips back on? Hard to say, but if HPA says they are a recommended installer and Patrick BMW agrees to be represented as such, I shouldn't have to be in the middle of this crap, as they should talk it over, figure it out and fix it no charge. We'll see what happens here, but so far not so good on this. Harold from HPA is to call me back. Anybody else ever run into this problem? or why the new LSD might cause retention clips to pop off?

The good news is it is easy to pull the axles and inspect/install the clips.
