Should I Trade My 135i For A Evo X??
Hey guy's I have a fbo 135i and thinking of trading for a evo x almost fbo.I love the 1 for the luxury and power, but miss the brute power the evo produces.I know if I trade for this x,all I'll need is a ets 6262 b.b turbo kit and I'm at 520 whp all day on pump gas.I really just miss the way the evo felt and drove, but feel like a might be down grading going with it.What do you guys think ,should I trade it or keep the 1???Thanks need as many responses as possible.

No way. I would never go from an I6 to a 4Banger. Also, BMW interior is difficult to give up. Also, you can upgrade the turbos on the N54 too...

I'd do it. Love the Evo X.

I wouldn't....BMW is a better built car overall. Also, Evos attract too much attention from Johnny Law.
LOL!!!

OP, Like you mentioned, you have to make the decision between power or luxury. I'd stick with the BMW personally.

I'd personally buy a evo IX before a evo X but comparing it to a 135i that'd be a hard choice.

I wouldn't, but that's because my taste in cars changed. I'd prefer a little more refinement. Came from 2 modded subies and much prefer german cars. If you miss the raw power and don't mind a plastic interior, go for it. They are still awesome cars.

Your wrong, the car has the supporting mods already ,tbe, intercooler ,intake ,if I add the 6262 kit and a retune it will touch 520 easy . I did it with my evo 9 and actually made 580 on the stock block for 3 years, without any ill effects .I would not buy a 9 again, due to it being very outdated and to raw for my taste right now.I wish it came with a free hooker .lol

me 2. I'd be on it like white on rice...which leads me to your choices.
What is your purpose, ultimately? luxury? performance? Track? Street? Both? all of the above? What combination of track/street use? Then, again, you might not care... The reason why you could feel the rawness in the power of subies and evos is because they are just that...raw...and unrefined...nothing wrong with that, if that's what you like. People buy cars for personal reasons. If you like the evo, get it. Then you won't have to bother anyone on this forum, anymore. Check out the evo forum to find out what they say. Then, if you're still liking it, get it. see ya.

My buddy just went from an fbo EVO x to a 335 and would never go back! The evo is fun wound up but has gutless low end making it not as fun for daily driving imo. And it would take dual pumps, injectors, turbo back exhaust, FMIC, and a e85 tune to go with that turbo to get those numbers. So all and all it's not that much cheaper than modding an n54.... An you aren't makin squat until almost 4k rpms
