If you're looking for cheap downpipes, these are what you want to get.
http://racelandus.com/p-134-high-flo...335i-135i.aspx Apparently, fitment is absolutely fine for most people, but a select few say it took some work to make them fit. Either way, can't go wrong for 200 bucks. Yes, I do realize they are 2.5'' rather than 3''. The difference in power gain isn't substantial.

But here ya go: http://www.e90post.com/forums/search...rchid=19720437 and Here IS what they dont show you in pictures Between the dent made and the bottle neck induced on the other pipe there are other clean alternatives that are sure to flow better. |

I actually have PLM downpipes and despite what others say, I'm satisfied with them. I get no rattles at all (though there is some wastegate rattle not related to the downpipes) and combined with a tune, they're definitely an improvement over stock. All catless downpipes sound about the same too so you're not really going to get any difference in the sound. I would definitely recommend them if you're on a budget.
Here's a video my friend recorded of my car with these downpipes on stock catback exhaust http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkWyUM03fhI (Skip to the end if you want to hear the PLM's) My only complaint about them is that they're a pain in the ass to install |

The PLM's work great. I'm running them. I finally pulled the trigger and got them after Clap gave a testimonial on them (he runs them as well). I had no problems with the install, other than the fact that it was my first install and I took my time. Like Chicks said, all DPs are going to sound the same provided they are the same sized and have the same shape. However, if the VF dp's were available, I would have gotten them.

I have these pipes mated to AE Exhaust it sounds great, i also doubt DP are going to sound that much different compared to each other. No Rattles, fitment was fine and cheap as hell. Granted if VSRF had there out a the time i would have gotten them but I'm happy and my exhaust sounds great no leaks just use the stock clamps.
I don't see the point in paying 700+ for just DP... VSRF does has the right idea for price point also i would say $300 would be perfect. |

Been running them for nearly 2 years with zero issues. Sounds the same as any of my buddy's with ar's, ms's,etc. Same performance as well.

All the DP's eventually go to 2.5 at the flange to mate with the stock exhaust. It just depends on how much of the DP is 3inch. Honestly, 2.5inch is a good size DP for 3 cylinders 1 tiny turbo and 1 DP. Most cars have one single 3 inch and maybe one 4inch on some big turbo supras. I admit that dent is ugly and the curvature of bends of the PLM is a little disturbing. I know they function though but I wont put them on my car personally.

I am just having a hard time justifying spending $800 for DP's on the car
but if these VRSF one's are as good as they say than its worth the money. having these, will I be able to run stage 2 on COBB? |

Yes. It's about the removal of the primary cats. Not about whether they're 2.5", 3", or 7" lol. You can run Stage 2 with these.

Nothing against spending your money in the right places. There are handful of options for less cost. Have you browsed my site recently?

I don't want to rain on anyone parade, but I just got my VRSF 3" Stainless Steel Catless Downpipes. As you can see, they are 3” all they until about the last 1.5 to 2 inches. So for $385 U.S. you too can have a set of 3” downpipes. From what I have seen online so far, fitment is spot on. They also don’t have any funny indents like everyone else is showing. Just nice flowing 3” pipe until you come to the 2.5 collector which again is only the last 4 to 5 cm of pipe.

I have to admit those vf downpipes look pretty good. The only thing I don't like is the taper at the end of the flange, it's a bit to drastic at the end and good cause turbulance.

I already bought AR during the BF pricing but if it were me and I was deciding between the PLM and VRSF, I'd go VRSF immediately before intro pricing goes up.
