NE1 else notice the little yellow sticker on the door jam?

There is a big white sticker recommending 32/35 psi front/back tire pressure(on the 335i coupe). BUT the little yellow one recommends 38/42 if you are going over 100 mph. I guess it doesn't apply to anyone in the US since our speed limits don't allow us to go that fast. <said facetiously>. Not to mention the improved treadwear that you will get at the higher air pressure.

Higher air pressures can actually cause faster wear by allowing uneven wear to take place (center portion of the tire will wear faster).

Gary, I don't mean to contradict what you said because it is obviously true. If you over inflate, the tire's contact against the road will not be even and will lead to excessive wear in the middle of the tire.

BUT, I have also personally experienced very poor tread wear on my previous Corvette and current S4 when I lowered the tire pressure to get a more compliant ride. (which I expected)

Are you saying that you will get excessive wear on our stock BMW tires if we inflate them to the tire pressure recommended for driving over 100 mph?
