Ordering an F30 328i

Going to go tomorrow to order an F30 328i, with these options:
  • Sports package
  • Premium package
  • Standalone heated front seats, fold down rear seats, bmw apps, xenon, bmw assist
  • Alarm System
  • Black Sapphire metallic
  • High gloss black trim with coral red matt trim finisher and dakota black leather with red highlight

With these options it'll be a fairly pricey car. I want the dealer to tint my windows for free and add a clear bra, since it'll be nigh impossible to negotiate on prices as I'm ordering this car. Any thoughts? Thanks!

To get the BMW apps, you need the $2600 ZTP(tehnology package)-navi and HUD.

Your looking around 48k

Ah thanks for the info. I guess I'll knock off the BMW apps because I don't see a need for the tech package.

Just FYI - I was originally planning to get just the heated front seats and fold-down rear seats, but then realized the entire Cold Weather Package was only $375 more MSRP, so if you see any value at all in the heated steering wheel and/or heated rear seats and/or headlight washers, then it's pretty cheap to get the whole shebang. (I went ahead and did the package for that inexpensive of a 'round-out')

Thank you very much for the info; things like this that I didn't even realize was why I made this thread in the first place. I will go the same option. $375 for the rest of the package isn't too bad.

This is the same exact car I am looking to purchase. I thought about adding the parking package on top of that and skipping on the sport package. I would rather buy my own 18s to throw on and put winters on the stock tires.

Just remember that you dont get the sport seats or suspension without the sport package

OMG, I am so loving the Estoril Blue on the Msport package now. I will just have to see what the money situation looks like in a few months. That M Sport is beautiful. However, I like the Sport Line interior a little better, because that M-Sport steering wheel looks ridiculous. Sort of like the Audi S4 steering wheel if you look at the pics on the audi site.

Yea, but those M steering wheels do feel great in your hands. Had one on my X3 msport. The Msport is really nice, i would have considered that, but i need a car asap.

I'm sure Xenons would be available to add through the aftermarket scene.

BTW, do you or anyone else know what are the corona rings like without the Xenons? Would they be the same as F10 5-series?

Based on what i have seen, i dont think there are any caronas on the non xenons, i could be wrong.

This is a very very good question. As I could simply add something from alpine later down the like if I want my hid look in the corona rings and save myself a pretty penny here.

I thought that all future BMWs would have the same corona rings like the F10's.

What is the situation with the X3's? Maybe that would be an indication for the corona rings in the F30 with Xenons vs without Xenons.

I've noticed that the headlights on the base F30 (no lines) are different than the headlights on F30's with selected line (Sport, Luxury or Modern).

Anyway, regardless of that, I'm still sure that can be modified through the subsequent aftermarket for F30s.

As of 2011, Xenons w/coronas are now standard on all F10 models.

I agree there should not be a link requiring ZPP to get Xenons on 328i.
I guess BMWUSA feels that requirement will be enough to tip a substantial number of buyers, that would otherwise be on the fence, into ZPP to get the cooler look.

I would actually consider the 328i - more power and much more torque that my E46 - if I could get Xenons w/o ZPP. It would be more a minimalist car, leatherette, no Nav/HUD, etc. As it is, I am targeting 335i M-Sport w/ZPP at much higher cost and considering Nav/HUD as well, so maybe their product marketing is working.

With the aftermarket xenon some dealers may hassle you on the warranty

BMW's marketing doesn't work on me though. I know every automaker/dealer makes their profit on the options and packages. I will not give in to buying the Premium Pack just so I can get Xenons. I will save myself the $4500 it would cost me.

I rather put that amount of money into other options for a 328i - M-Sport, sport auto, heated seats+steering wheel, premium sound, metallic paint.
