Scan Gauge
Has anyone used a scan gauge as their "gauges". I'm wondering if it reads things like Boost/Vacuum, and all the other important things. I like the fact you just plug it into the OBDII port and you can fit it almost anywhere w/out making permanent mods to the cars interior, or having to take it apart. I'm just looking for mainly:
-Coolant temp -Boost/vacuum -Inlet air temps -Spark Knock Counts -Throttle postion/voltage -A/F ratio

well I have an OBD reader, but the Dashdyno. Sitting in my sunglass holder, out of view if not wanted. Bear in mind OBD output is limited. You don't get the same on OBD as with the BT software. But i have coolant, boost, catalyst inlet temp (lets me see when a DPF regen takes place), and EGR flow - suits me on my diesel. Inlet temp (after IC) is not on there. There's many others but a bit useless to me.
Yes alternative is sticking nice gauges somewhere. But these need sensors, where are you going to put those, and how to run wiring into the engine bay |

^bingo. Did that on my previous cars. Not even attempting to take this dash apart. It's not a 80's GM lol.
