PROcede v4 Rev2

Hello,

I have been offered a V4 PROcede Rev2 that was used on another car. Are there any limitations of going for a Rev2 rather than a Rev2.5/3? Would I also be correct in assuming I will need to buy an additional vehicle license as this is 2nd hand?

Finally will I be stuck on V4 or can teh Rev2 be upgraded to V5?

The cars a stock 335i UK spec. So any other things I should look out for would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Pete

you are stuck on V4 . to go v5 you need to purchase a new vin code license and send the box to vishnu for a reset.
While you are at it you can just get it upgraded to 2.5.
Since you are stock try it as it is . Gonna be enough.

Actually, If the unit was never upgraded to V5, it is not Vin-locked, so you can install it and then upgrade to V5 no problem!

the nominal fee to upgrade to a 2.5 unit is worth it if you have time to send in your unit.

If the V4 was never upgraded to V5 you can just install it as V4 and drive. You can upgrade to V5 then but you could only use updated maps from PRE rev 2.5.

There are limitations to Rev2. All the current map updates, aggressive maps (which are faster then rev 2) and the changes to fueling and ignition advance wont be available with Rev2.

For a nominal fee you can contact Vishnu and they will upgrade you to a Rev 2.5. The cost is insignificant in comparison to all the benefits and the majority would agree.
