Possible boost leak
Last night I went to downshift a gear to third and pass someone, went wot, and my in dash fuel/boost gauge was only indicating around 8psi of boost. I have it set at 14.5 psi of boost. The car felt real sluggish and def didnt have the power it did at 14.5 psi. There was NO cel. Havent had a chance to scan for codes, but I assume there is a 30ff code (since its ever so popular haha)
I assume I have a boost leak. I checked all upper fmic couplers (minus the two on each side of the intercooler) and my charge pipe to throttle body connection. Seemed fine. I did notice that the front dv had a little moisture/oil around the base of it, but it appeared to be fine and sturdy in place. I've read about vacumn lines being torn or leaking, but in those cases the people werent making any boost at all. Im wondering if this is either a dv or lower fmic coupling problem. Would i make any boost with a leak like this if it were the dv?

i dont wanna be a dick, but maybe you should scan the car before clicking this
the internet cant help you if you dont know what the code is. otherwise we are just blindly speculating while providing no real help.

Didnt have my laptop with me. I will scan the car asap, but I was just wondering if anyone had experianced something similar since there are different kinds of boost leaks. Just trying to narrow it down a bit. You can get the same codes sometimes, regardless of where its leaking lol

I scanned the car and there were no codes, so posts number 2+4 were unnecessary anyway . it seems to be holding boost now. weird.

When my two vacuum hoses had a leak (the ones near the oil filter housing) my boost was very sporadic. Sometimes I would hit 13.5 and sometimes I would only hit like 5-6. Weird thing was that I also had no codes. I highly recommend you check your vacuum lines. The factory lines are terrible and develop leaks all the time. Keep your eye on it. If it happens again check those lines. It is such an easy fix.
