Tires Sizes!!!

hi guys,
I just received my tires RE050A non run flat for my new rims BBS Radical 216 ... but the local tires shop got it all mixed up and bring in the wrong tires size that i require.... there all no way to return them b cos it was specially brought in from Japan.... these are 07 production tires
I upgrade from 17" 225 45 front and rear 17" 255 40. I wanted to up the size to 18" 235 40 front and 18" 265 35 rear.... my local dealer got it wrong and bring in 18" 225 40 front and 18" 265 35 rear.... will that be alright? b cos the front is now is so much smaller than the rear.... what I wanted was 18" 235 40 front now they got it one size smaller.... I understand that the car will understeer slightly.... but generally do you guys think it safe? i do a fair amount of hardcore driving around B road and hilly road in my country occasionally...

more traction on the back now, but not as stable because of the front size being so different to the rear

It depends on your wheel width as well...if you're going with OEM i.e. 8.0 F and 8.5 rear, I think you'll be alright, OEM is 225/40 18 front...so you're just a little plus zero at the back, 10mm is no biggie.

the standard OEM staggered setup leans towards more understeer...but looks great so hey!

Hi Kl2DC,
Pardon me for my ignorance,,,,,, but is that because you are running on standard setup apart from the 15mm spacer????
