Questions for Terry

Terry

I have the JB4, running AR Catless DPs. I understand running autoclear I'm good in aspects of check engine light, due the fact the JB4 is clearing the codes and turning the light off . I also understand i dont need the DPFix because it is built in the JB4. My main question(s) is/are....Will the DPFix keep the car from throwing codes/lights alone? Can I run it with/without JB4 installed? How do I install it with JB4?

Thanks

Terry is not on e90post. e-mail him at terry@burgertuning.com with any further questions.

and the answer to your question is if you take the JB4 out, you need the external downpipe fix to suppress the SES light.

Well I am not Terry, (even though a few think I am) , but the DPfix can be run with or without the JB4, and if you install it with the JB4 its best to install it on the stock harness so when you pull the JB4 its still there.

The DPFix alone will prevent the lights, but may need some fine adjusting through the adjustment knob (varies from car to car)

Dude, you bought a product without doing a proper research on how what it does, how to use it properly and how to install it? You won't even go to the manufacturer's web site for support?

Come on now... Grow a spine, will ya?!

Here:

More specifically:

You are welcome.

Your first point was valid, but the second is just pilling on. Pointless....

Why? Because in today's world of over the top political correctness, god forbid the truth might hurt his feelings? Could have been said in a softer way, but his point's valid.

Vasillalov I do recall you asking damn near the same question, I believe on ***tech. Actually I did do some research on the products I purchased/installed. Thats why I posted as a "Question for Terry" I actually got the answers i needed from Mike@n54tuning.com, and was simply asking if somebody had a DIY. Thanks for pointing me the same direction I was already headed in. I have been looking for these answers over the past 2-3 days and all i could find was "you dont need DPfix...you have the JB4" Cool but what if i want to run the JB4 on map 0 for awhile or I need to take it out for awhile? Just trying to find the alternative.

Fixed.

I don't know if you need it on map 0 on the JB4 or on the Procede in pass thru mode (can anyone chime in?), but you'd need it in the event you want to pull the tune for a service visit, and don't want the light to show up.

I said his FIRST point was valid....clearly. The second was just bashing unless you think telling someone to grow a spine for posting a question on forum is vaild.
