Torque for flywheel and transmission bolts?
Hello,
tomorrow my friend will install the 1M flywheel and 6-puck ACT clutch to his 135i. So, which is the torque required to fasten flywheel and transmission bolts? It's almost a DIY installation at a friend's lifting machine and with all tools required. Some help from vendors would be really useful. Thanks |

IIRC your buddies car was a 2009. So I looked up 2009-2010 and found this. It looks like it will be 120 Nm or 88.5 ft/lbs of torque. It says to replace all flywheel bolts as well. Hope that helps.
I don't know if there is a different recommended torque for the 1M flywheel. This torque spec is for the standard flywheel. I can't imagine the torque being that different between the two. Here is the alldata image. Follow the instructions on the bottom of the chart for 6-speed M/T.

All flywheel bolts, push bearing and transmission bolts came in the same box with the flywheel!!! A few more info from a vendor or someone who has tried it would be really useful. If we end up with 120Nm for example, I'll tell him to start fastening them from 25Nm with increments of 5Nm until 120. |

Always remember to tighten the bolts in a star pattern as well. Just like when you tighten lug nuts on your wheels. This will ensure that the flywheel seats evenly on the crank.
