Xi People: Allowed or NOT allowed to upgrade rims?

So I saw the thread with an XI having problems with the DSC light coming on, Does this mean that I will have problems if i bought my dream m6 rep rims?

or should i stay with 19x8.5 w/ same sized tires all the way around and not go staggered.

Please help me I was about to throw money down for my dream rims.

So what was the verdict? Did you go 8.5 all around? Any problems? Anyone ask the dealer if it's ok to do 19's same size, all around?
