High start revs/pop
Hi all i was wondering if this is normal i was told they rev high if its trying to warm the engine up?
It didn't happen over summer so I'm thinking maybe climate change? Also when i park it outside and it does this it makes a popping noise sorta like this but not as loud is this bad or just because of the cold? Last edited by zshortyz; 11-29-2011 at 01:04 AM.. Reason: pressed enter too fast |

I have had the higher revs to on a cold start. It doesn't sound out of the ordinary to me.

Were you giving it gas at all???
When it is cold out my car idles at a higher constant speed around 1k rpm, then slowly drops as it warms up. I have never seen it rev up and down like that? |

i wish i was giving it gas, now when it does it i just try to keep the rpm by pressing the gas so it doesn't look like I'm trying to show off by revving it

I would show it to a dealer and see what they say. You have any warranty left?
