OE Tuning or Active autowerke tune for manifold conversion?

Hello!

Just about to install the 3 stage manifold as soon as i receive my headers from Gavin/ MMW.

I currently run the AA tune with my PE and PI.

Looking for the most gains with the 2 extra mods + PE + PI.

I'm stuck between the two tuners. Which would be better or which do you prefer from experience?

Thanks!!!

If you can't get to either shop for a custom tune, call and see what they have. We all know AA has an off the shelf tune that works pretty well, but might not be perfect, but I'm not sure if OE has something off the shelf they can send to you.

Custom would be best, but that's not always an option for many people.

Wish i lived in the states

There are dyno tuners in alberta canada, but they always tune mustangs/ camaro's and turbo diesel trucks. Might stay away from them lol

OE says they have a tune for me if i send my ecu in, and same for AA.

But i can also do the AA tune locally since theres a place in town who does them except charges outrageous prices for it

Thanks for your input!

AA. You have a local retailer, so AA can probably lower the price for you.

Hey
Ray_futbol

Great car color and wheel combination.

Have you done all the conversion work yet ? Would like to hear what solutions and issues you may have.

Subscribed! Looking into doing the same mods, only running no exhaust setup. Just going with straight pipes all the way! Def curious on what the power gain yield?!?!?!?!?

I just ordered AA's new simon tool with a new tune. Just waiting for it to come in the mail...
Groundhogs/ meteorologists in canada are saying early spring (hopefully), so that's when install begins!

After installing the manifold and headers (which i'm hoping doesnt sound like crap), i'll have to find a 4 wheel dyno, somewhere in Alberta. There might be one an hour and a half away from where i live. (i dont have initial dynos )

Heard from other members that they havent had an issue and no error codes etc.
Another member who lives in toronto just installed his so not a problem in colder climates and he's already done +100 km on his car with the new set up
The only problems they've had was losing a screw

The car pulls like crazy now!! It literally was eye opening! It is a must do for any 328i N52. No codes or errors thrown. And fuel consumption improved too!

Glad you like it.

I felt the same when I did the install for this mod on my car. Just love the way the car handles. i have about 1000km on the manifold now and car pulls smooth with no errors.

Did the manifold on my E91 a week or two ago. No codes, better fuel consumption, more power. $350 parts/$400 labor. Should have been stock like this!

Wow! $400 for install? I thought the states would have been way cheaper for labor
