Cars acting wired. Going in modded?
Hey guys, my car has recently been flipping out electrical system wise. Pretty sure it needs a new battery. Taking to dealer tomorrow. I'm I good to just leave the procede on map 0? Have a pwm kit, intake, exhaust etc on the car and can't take off. Also just hit 50k miles a few days ago so it warrenty won't be an issue. Also should i tell the SA there a tune? or just leave it on map 0 and not say anything. Thanks for the help guys

My advice would be to not mention the tune, they may waste time trying to "eliminate" as a source of problems. If its just the battery it's a simple procedure to test it.

Is there an independent BMW shop in your area that you can go to instead of the dealer given you are out of warranty?

Depends on a dealership or SA.
The dealer I usually go to still gave me shit for the mods even though I'm way out of the warranty. I have full BPU car and the service advisor was saying how my fuel pump failed because of upgraded intercooler that allows for more air enter the engine, therefore overworking it and the fuel system. I just grabbed my key out of his key reader and went to other dealership which warrantied the pump just fine. |
