Turbocharger Theory and related information
I wanted to learn more about how turbo chargers work. I found this on the internet and wanted to share it with the other people in the community who might want to learn more about turbo systems as well when modding their cars.
It's a long read but answered every question I had and then some regarding turbo chargers and all the related components. http://www.turbomustangs.com/turbotech/main.htm |

Yep; great info indeed! Turbo over NA any day for the sheer combination of down low TQ / efficiency and tunability all in one package. Can't think of one engine that does this as well as the N54 all things considered.

Those 2 factors alone eliminate the 2JZ, Nissan RB26 / VR38, the 4G63, the Subaru EJ and all related tunable motors.

Believe it or not yes. I had 30MPG on highway in my 400awhp Stealth, and the car had every bit of technology available at the time (90's). 4-wheel steering, active electronic suspension (a-la M3), Infinity sound, and 3000GT's had a spoiler that would move up and down depending on speed
Here's my video from 2 years ago in one of the fastest 3S at the time (right now they're well into 1000hp, 8's) |
