New 335D M-Sport Picked up today...Bliss....

Before I start.... JBD, Black Grills, Black Badging, M3 w/ DCT Paddles Steering Wheel, Hardwired V1, and Style 193 Wheels (which should have been on the car) are ALL on the way to be installed soon, with 35% tint all around.

Traded in my 2008 FBO 135i Coupe, and I am really happy.... endless torque and 40-45 mpg - can't beat it. I only miss the full catless exhaust sound, but can't have it all..... Great lease deal to boot.

Looks like mine. Post pictures when you get tint. I am contemplating with 15% all around.

You will love the d! I do miss my exhaust noise from the 335i, but the torque and mileage is very worth it.

36.9 mpg over 118 miles so far. Only not romping on it bc of break in! I didn't buy this car for gas mileage, honesty it's a nice to have, but not a main "feature". Im just happy to leave the N54 scene and all the headaches minus the amazing power. The 335d is unique, has killer torque, and is most definitely fun in a new way for me.

Sadly most of my driving will be super city driving, with lights every or every other block so epic mpg is null and reserved for long cruises.

Many people who ordered 335d msport packaged didn't received their proper wheels because BMW is running out due to the f30 change over. The wheels you currently have are the standard sport wheels for the 335i. The msport wheels are much nicer, more expensive and obviously rare.

Congrats on the new ride. I jumped on board the oil burning bandwagon at the end of 10/2011 ---- was planning on getting one in a couple of years with a ED ---- but they came out with the F30s and besides not caring for the style I saw no mention of a diesel for N.A. let alone the beautiful 335d motor --- I had test driven one a few times and had as a loaner --- was able to get a deal about 3K below invoice ( I'm sure there is always a better deal ----- but I was content with what I was able to get) --- Anyhow I am absolutely enthralled with the performance of the car and the fuel economy is a huge bonus --- instead of getting 19mpg around town as I was in my E90 328 I now get 28mpg with a huge change if driving pleasure --- it just feels like a more sophisticated and evolved ride overall. Congrats again and enjoy.

Can't wait to see that M3 wheel. Please post a DIY when you get it installed. Wonder how those paddles will work and if it is direct bolt on?

Will post in a week or two when I get around to it. Very easy, 1 hour install with the Burger Tuning Retrofit kit.... should be really nice!

I thought these M-Sports come with the M steering wheel from the factory?

Steering wheel weirdness

Mine came with the "M" steering wheel on it, but...

It's clearly different from the one that came on my actual M3 of the same exact model year.

The one on the 335d is slightly smaller diameter with a smaller circumference of the grip. I can wrap more of my fingers around it. At first I thought I was crazy, but you could blindfold me and hand me a steering wheel and I could tell you which car I'm in.

The "d" version also has perforations along the grips and doesn't have the multicolored stitching on the seams.

Weird.

I think I like the one on the D better, I like the perforations. I think one of my more favorite things about my sport package car is the steering wheel. Its perfect in diameter, and sure is nice too look at lol.

Nice garage list by the way...a dream garage. M3 for the weekend, and fuel efficiency during the week and still plenty of fun power.

The M3 wheel has different / softer leather, different stitching and no perforations. I have a 135i before and it had the M sport steering wheel, so the M wheel with dct paddles will be a nice change and the 1st m3 dct wheel to be in a 335d that I know of.

As far as diameters go, I will measure them. But I think they are the same. We shall see.
