Can someone help me!?

I have a friend who is heavy into mitsubishis' and he states that the tt 6 cylinder motor is off of the old mitsu design for the 3000gt vr4. That BMW waited for the patent to expire and used their design. Is this true?

Does your friend do a lot of drugs? I think that the mitsu turbo's are the extent of what mitsubishi contributed to that engine.

I have heard that the turbos are made by Mitsubishi, but not the the N54 engine.

I think your friend is smoking crack.

First of all your friend is stupid, he is talking out of his ass. the bmw is an inline 6 cylinder where the VR4 is a V6. The turbos are mitsubishi and thats all that there is to it.

Your friend is wrong... I have a heavily modified Spyder VR4 and trust me the engine is not the same...

Did he mention the little known fact that the new 911t is also just a 3000gt mill with bigger turbos? If not, be sure to tell him so that the Porsche forums eventually get a laugh too.

The n54 turbos are from mitsubishi. But the I6 of the N54 is NOT the V6 from the vr4.
