Newbie with a 2011 E93 335is (with video) and question about JB4

Long time lurker here with a 2011 335is convertible ... I got this past summer brand new. Here's a video of my car
.

I'm debating on getting the JB4 upgrade with JB4 Dual Cone Intake. Through the very intuitive search button... I found some reviews, but I'm still on the fence, is it worth it? Should I buy the JB4 used through other forum members (does anyone have one their selling - I prefer unused and brand new?).

Thanks in advance guys (and gals),

M

Even though I'm a Cobb fanboy, yes, the JB4 is worth it. Any tune is worth it, because it's so much bang for your buck. If you want it used, you can search the marketplace. There's always some being sold. Although, you bought a 335is, I'm sure you can afford a brand new JB4.

+1 on it being worth it. I am on the fence as well and have decided to go Cobb but 99% of the people I know here in Fayetteville run JB4 and its worth it for sure. If you can afford it I would get new to avoid any problems.

Welcome to the E93 club! Love the IS!

Thanks guys.

I already did the golf tee mod... it sounds amazing in my parking lot.

I just want some more power without screwing up the warranty and dropping a lot more money into the car.

I just put the JB4 and the DCI on my car few weeks ago, so far I love it.
You can definitely feel the difference.
But I'm same as you, wanna avoid any possibility to void my warranty.
So far I have not ever sent my car into service after the JB4 installed, but I am sure I will take it off before I send my car into service.

Sweet car and I've heard nothing but good things about the JB4 and their customer support.

Congrats.

Wait a min, doesn't this mess up the tuning for the over boost function and render it pointless?

Edit: I guess you'll be making much more power on a constant basis anyways so it won't matter?

Any tune will do that with the 335is.

just do it. if there is serious concerns with jb4 and dci you can take it out in what, 1hr?

i just did both, and its just about the best thing you could do other than actually buying the car imho.

Definetly tune the car!
I noticed a decrease in mileage but only when I rip it, when I drive around town I leave it in map0 so its stock..
Especialy with a e93, you need a tune!!
Get a new one, as for dci...its your choice you dont rly need it if you just wanna run map1 and its less of a headache for dealer visits since youll be going for maintenance..

The affect it has on mileage will be greatly ignored by the power you feel under your feet.
