Rocks chips have rusted

I know, I know...I should have taken care of them a long time ago! However, now it is a problem, and I am trying to determine what I should do. Could I possibly sand away the rust and touch the rock chips still? Or, am I just out of luck?

You could sand the rust out, but if you're going to touch-up the paint I'd think s a rust converter would be a better option. Less invasive, you won't be sanding away at good paint just to get to the chip, etc.

I've had good luck with Rust Away from paintscratch.com. They list it under solvents and primers, third on the list.

he is in a different country, so so will definitely differ...as well as painter rep, painter prep, painter process, etc will determine the outcome and cost!

I would figure about 3K+ for something quality

It looks like this will pretty much hit the spot! Thanks, that was very helpful!

Wow! Sounds like you had some pretty major damage though.....I just have about 3 or so rusty chips on my hood....and maybe about 3 more that haven't rusted yet.

Definitely going to take care of them now....just hadn't really paid attention to them until a few days ago. I've always had the mentality that I would not get upset about rock chips and such as this is my daily driver. However, I've learned that it doesn't hurt to pay at least a LITTLE attention to them!

Next on my list is to fix the curb rash I got from when I was forced by a car into a curb on a narrow street here in ATL going 45+ mph....ouch! That will be a weekend project though for sure.
