Mr 5 style intake

Is it possible to do this style intake without modifying the power steering bracket? I do not like to make permanent mods so if it is not possible then is there a pre-fab bracket I can buy to move it out of the way?

To get the most direct path you have to modify the bracket. On the underside of the L-shaped bracket there is a perpendicular web of material spot welded on for rigidity. I drilled out the welds and removed this large web. The resulting L-shape creates the perfect path for the hose. It is direct with minimal bends until you enter the wheel well area. The functionality of the bracket with the power steering equipment remains unchanged.

This is a permanent mod though, so pretty much the opposite of what you are asking...

To fit a 3" tube in there you will need to move the resivoir 1 bolt over and modify the bracket. You can purchase a bracket from Tischer for like $15. See my DIY.

That's great, if I can just purchase a new bracket then I will do that and keep the original one in case I need to go back to stock. Now to get the part number...

Same goes for the airbox, but they are fairly expensive new. FYI I have a used one sitting around if you are interested.

I'll be building one soon as well.

The only issue is getting that nice hose from McMaster Carr. They won't ship to Canada.

It's so annoying to find a decent hose around here it's ridiculous.

I'll paypal someone cash if they can ship about 4 feet to Canada.
