Removing stock resonator on F10 550i

Okay. So, I'm due to receive my Eisenmann race exhaust in a couple of weeks. I'm really only getting it for sound purposes (obviously, since it's only a muffler replacement).

What will removing the stock resonator do for me (sound wise). I know it would make it louder. Will it sound even better and more aggressive? Will it throw a CEL?

I don't think an axle back exhaust alone will sound that aggressive. If you're in it for the sound get a race X pipe with the resonator delete.
Go with the Supersprint one. the have not much modification at all if any because they're going to need to weld then Eisenmann to your stock pipes.

I recommend you get the X pipes then clamp it with the supplied hardware from Supersprint and weld the Eisenmann to that.

If I go down that route, will I get a check engine light?

Not at all. I currently have it on my car now for about a month.

Last question (thanks for your answers, by the way).......I realize that a dealership could technically claim that any modifications could void a warranty.

Is there any real risk of warranty issues, when having an x-pipe installed?

Dealers cannot void your warranty cox you mod your care.. SEMA regulations! but if its ur mods that cause the issue than they MAY have the right to void it.

I wish there was a video of this x-pipe with the Eisenmann race exhaust on the 550i.

I like the supersprint exhaust with the x pipe but that's a lot of cash!
