exhausted for exhausts

heres the situation
i have saved up about $400 total (i am a kid and all of my income is from saving up lunch money lol which i can save up bout $40 per week by not eating) & plus some extra bucks for holiday gifts i know its sad

anyways ive looked up some exhausted and here are the ones
BMW PE
magna flow
and RE IKON

to me BMW PE is kinda too expensive and sounds too ricy
but i like how its made by bmw for bmw

magna flow sounds just like i want but it's dual rear end
i have 328i so if that means that i need to buy rear bumper... forget it

RE IKON sounds not as good as MF but reasonably priced for me
and its single ended

which one should i get???

Magnaflow doesn't have to be dual tip. They have a lot of different configurations for everything from Civics to Vette's to Trucks. First thing to do is ask around and research for a reliable, cheap muffler shop where you live.Seeing as you live in cali, you can probably find some recommendations on here since theres a bunch of people from cali on here. I was going to get a Magnaflow put on but the shop ended up not having one that would fit so I would have had to order one. So instead, I put on straight pipes and figured it wouldn't be hard to put a magnaflow on. They're loud for sure, the resonator and all the cats are on still. But I think it sounds really good. Cost $95.

But foreal you should get a job. I'm a kid too but I got a job and no, I didn't pay for my car but I pay for the mods and gas for my car. Ain't all that hard to find a job if you put the work towards it.

just dont slap on an "universal" muffler from magnaflow, get full catback exhaust system. Universal muffler or Exhaust system not designed for our car can actually decrease the performance and make the car sounds like crap.

i still remember i slap on an universal dual 3 in magaflow on my old accord way back then............... its such a nightmare.

save up a lil bit more and just get the ikon muffler. PE is overkill on price for a hs student with no job.

on a side note, lol @ kids calling themselves kids. "i am a kid..." "im a kid too..." LOL!

You find that the PE sounds too ricey and you prefer the Magnaflow?

I dont want to sound like everyone else but i would really hold off on mods until you actually have money for them. Im 18 and i love buying stuff for my e90 but thats because i have the money to back up what i do. If i spend $400 on an exhaust and something important comes up im not broke. Not eating is a pretty bad way to pay for mods imo. But anyway... on your budget a Magnaflow setup would be the best in terms of sound for money.
