Pick the Loudest Exhaust Setup without rasp
if you were me, what would you pick? i don't care about drone at all. i don't want rasp. i want a deep, popping, gurgling, and really loud setup. i want to hear idle after engine warms up. i don't want it to sound ricey at all. i'm not making my decision based on weight loss or hp gain at all, so i don't care about that (since it's minimal). reasons for your choice would help. setup will be with either jb4 or v5, dci, etc.
a few facts i've gathered: the old eisenmann race (pre-2011) is definitely louder than the new eisenmann race (2011+). the v2 vanguard is apparently quieter than the v1. i don't want any muffler delete, electric cut outs, or straight pipe suggestions... thanks |

I just got a Vanguard from LTBMW. Not sure if its V1 or V2...
If you want a loud, deep, throaty, gurgling when your downshifting exaust, Vanguard is the balls!!! No rasp....absolutely none... |

My HKS sounds pretty good under WOT. Its not too loud at idle and under normal driving conditions.
It doesnt have the quad tips though. But quad tips can be welded on to any exhaust set-up. |

I win. Don't care about drone? HPF with catless DPs takes the ticket.

This isn't loud enough for OP.

The Vanguard with catless DP's will introduce some rasp for sure. Although not nearly as much as the eisenman. V1 is louder than the V2. The V2 had some extra sound deadening added (although they don't publicize this information.) |

isn't HPF just straight pipes? and hpf+dp's is loud as hell but so raspy.. i wanna keep a deep clean sound.
someone said something about vibrant resonators before... would those work with both eisenmann and vanguard to eliminate rasp? so far seems like vanguard is the better choice, which is odd because everyone says eisenmann is way louder btw ams seems so quiet |

To the OP, honestly its not that raspy, it may seem that way in the video but just my muffler delete with catless DPs was more raspy IMO. But trying to get rid of rasp from a BMW I6 engine while trying to make it loud at the same time is pretty damn difficult. Here is a video after I took the exhaust off my car bc the drone was unbearable and put it on my buddies car, he has stock DPs so its a little quiter, still one of the best sounding exhaust out there IMO, as long as you keep the stock DPs the drone is bearable.
