Is it possible to add Bluetooth + Lumbar support?
That regret what you didn't get thread got me thinking.
Would it be possible to add bluetooth to my '11 E92? I did not get Navi or Premium package. How much? Would it be possible to add lumbar support to my driver's seat only? I have the sport seats which I thought would come with it but I was wrong. I sometimes have back muscle pains, so lumbar would really help, and how much if possible? Any 3rd party could do this possibly? I'd rather get the lumbar over the bluetooth, bluetooth I could live without no biggie. |

Probably have to get aftermarket bluetooth. I got boned with the no lumbar seat too. How can a $60,000 car not have lumbar support??? I never even checked....my bad. My bad back.

You can retro fit the lumbar support. See the DIY: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494469

You'd have to buy a TCU (I think around $800) and get the computer programmed at the dealer.

Holy Crap that looks complicated! Thanks, but there's no way I have the aptitude to pull off a job like that. |

Seriously, BMW pisses me off with petty shit like this. I looked into it and seems you have to have gotten the Premium package. I didn't, I just ordered the leather seats out of it. My $25k Toyota 4Runner came with lumbar seats, and its the most basic SR5 model. |

Those are the two exact things that I wish I could retrofit as well. I did know that my car was missing these, but at that time I thought I would be fine without the lumbar since testdrive didn't bother me, and I didn't think I would mind not having BT either. Boy was I wrong.
But in any case, I've already done some research and concluded that there are nothing out there that I would consider reasonable. I made peace with a rolled up towel and a BT earpiece. I actually like the towel a lot at this point, I mean you can't wipe coffee off the console with the regular lumbar. |

yeahhhh....the whole packages thing with every car manufacturer can be annoying....if im buying used i always just try to find one loaded with all of them.
If i was buying new......well id probably still try to get them all because there is always something i want in every package....they do it on purpose.... |

You guys shouldn't complain about 40-60k cars not being equipped with things. Wait until you spend 70-90k and realize you're still missing things. Gotta love BMWs.

Bluetooth is a must for me on a car these days. I couldn't spring for the Premium Package on my 2011 328i but I made sure I ordered BMW Assist which includes Bluetooth.
There are plenty of decent aftermarket Bluetooth kits on the market by the way. |
