Down pipe gaskets

Hi I am looking to get gaskets for my race land dps I bought them used from a member so it didn\'t come with them. Should I buy stock ones or any other ideas where I can pick some up? Thanks

Get the AR bombproof gaskets from jlevisw.com, they are reusable and well made.

I just used autozone $3 gaskets for my DPs and exhaust flanges... has worked great.

Speaking from experience...just get the AR gaskets. I tried reusing the stock ones, and while one held, the other didn't. They're worth the $30 to save the headache.

And regarding the autozone comment; I went to two stores and none had specific gaskets for a 335i. I had them match one up, but the inside diameter was too small. Sure it would have worked, but what's the point? May be a regional thing, but we didn't have them here.

I would get the ar design gaskets for sure. Always replace the gaskets on the N54 as the stockers suck

If you have boost leaks you're looking for something before the intake manifold. Exhaust leaks will smell and sound like an old tractor in the cabin but shouldn't affect induction.

Oh boy... then please spend the $30. I used Ace bolts (grade 8) also for like 30cents each... is this bad. You're right the ID of the gasket is maybe 1 to 2mm smaller.

OP, I used these "cheap" parts about 5k miles ago on the DPs. The other day i removed my stock exhaust, bolts were perfect and reused the autozone gaskets with no issues. I think I still have the package with part # that i'm keeping the old stock gaskets in... I'll look for it.

I wasn't knocking you...I was just giving my experiences. I bought raceland DP's and hardware store bolts so I'm not an elitist by any means. It wasn't until I went for a search for gaskets locally and couldn't find them before I turned to the net. The closest Autozone ones were 1/4" ID too small. Spending the $30 to know I wouldn't have to dick around with gaskets again was worth it. If you can find suitable gaskets locally, then by all means, go for it. No need to be so uptight.
