Need a tuner for 2011 535i (F10)
New owner, love the car, but could use some more power. I've notice that there are a few companys providing tuners for my car, but I have no idea what company would be best. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, T-Man 2011 535i M sport |

From what I have read the tuners haven't been able to fully unlock the potential of the F10's yet? I have read that the options out there are showing gains of somewhere in the 30hp range (if others know different please feel free to correct me) compared to 60-80hp range for the N55 in the 1 and 3 series? I am holding out hoping that this will change as I would hate to buy and then some months down the road a better option comes out and have to spend the money all over again.

im giving it another year. When I had my 335 n54 I first got the jb+ which was good for 30-40 whp, then a couple years later I picked up the JB4 which came with so many features and could make 60-70 whp depending on supporting mods.

Burger Tuning is the best thing that is out there right now. KB7 is 100% correct. The tuner is only producing around 30-40 extra hp at this point. The ECU is different and it is causing problems with some coding compared to the 335 and thats why it is unable to get the 70-80 hp at this time. In the next 6-12 months the codes should all be worked out and the JB stage 2 should be out giving the car full potential like the 335 N55.

Hey guys good news. I went to bmw dealer to install grills and spoiler and the guy from parts department told me bmw perfomance tune came out for the new f10's 535. He told me that this tune will bring up 20 to 30gain hp. He told me this upgrade don't avoid the warranty too. He said it takes only 1hour to upgrade the program. Cost about $599 plus labor charge. He said labor charge will be small amount since it takes only 1 hour. Check your local bmw dealer. Great price and if i can keep my warranty, I will upgrade right away.

Anyone know if a BMW performance tune is done; and then say in 6 months a nice dinan tune comes out if you can replace the first tune? I'd do the JB but warranty is more important for me.

Do you think you could piggy back on top of the OEM tune? I wonder if thats a possibility...

I wouldn't count on it, It'll probably just be a reflash of some sort, but I could be wrong. I'm gonna wait on JB4 type of tune. God I miss the power my 335i n54 had with jb4.. Brutal!

This maybe true but the advertised HP numbers for these cars are not to the wheels either so I don't understand why that would matter. Now I admit I'm new to the tuning of these cars so I don't know if other companies usually advertise number claims to the wheels.

After emailing them yesterday I was informed that they have no plans to do any further tuning on the F10 535i's. So basically if you want a tune from them you need to be happy with ~30whp unlike the ~60whp that they have managed to show in the 1 and 3 series

I talked to my dealer today and they haven't heard anything about this for the 535. Anybody able to offer up any more info or links so maybe I can let my dealer know they need to get their act together.
