Brake dust

I currently have factory rims and it seems every 3-4 days I have to wash them. Any suggestions on minimizing brake dust?

Wheel Wax is great; it does reduce the amount of brake dust and it allows your wheels to be cleaned easily since it's specifically formulated to sustain the high heat of the wheels (it says on longer than regular car wax). You can order online or buy it at some local specialty car accessory stores.

You could replace the brake pads with a ceramic pad.

ceramic pads create a little less dust, but not worth wasting the money untill you have to change your pads...

BMW's "free" 4-year/50k mi. maintenance program will replace the stock oem brake pads at no cost, so why bother putting on more expensive ceramic brake pads (which wear out quicker than metallic brake pads) that you will have the financial responsibility to replace? I'm telling you...brake dust is inevitable, but it can be lessened with the "Wheel Wax."

Paint the wheels gray or black. You'll have the same amount of brake dust, you just won't be able to see it. I have competition gray wheels on my Z06 and it's really difficult to tell the wheels are dirty until you touch them.
