im bidding on sws-8 2ohm subs for my e90 with stock bmw professional system am i looking at the right subs?

Your OEM system does not matter... the SWS-8 will need an aftermarket amp of at least 100W RMS per channel to really appreciate the difference in bass.

I was planning to put an amp anyways, let me rephrase this, will it be a good choice / be a big improvement from stock and will it require a lot of modification.
I'm confused because there is also another version of the sws8

Just make sure that the aftermarket amp chosen is 2ohms stable, that's all.
