Catless Downpipes with Stock Catback - how loud?

I'm considering getting downpipes.. but I don't want to add too much to the overall loudness of the car. I wouldn't mind a bit more tone, but below 3k rpm (where most of my driving is anyhow), how much louder will it be?

Thanks,

HRS

It sounds good. Just a touch louder than stock under cruising conditions, and sounds great under WOT. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Barely louder than stock under normal driving. I had AR DP's and the golf tee mod (misfire free too ) and it was very civilized. Sounded amazing at WOT though

Thanks everyone.. it's always hard to gauge how loud things are from online videos.. has anyone noticed an increased in vibrations with the AR DPs? I've read that AA DP go around some of this with OEM-like joints.

I just installed Macht Schnell Downpipes. 3in Downpipes , great quality. I have stock exhaust.

No real drone to me while cruising, sounds great when getting on it, louder outside car for sure.

I also did the golf tee ( unplugged the actuator from the trunk )

Keep in mind though, it does sound throatier in real life, i love the tone personally.
Here's a clip:

My e90 is still quieter than a stock e92 exhaust. The only extra noise is you hear a bit more turbo spool.

Resonator in the e90. Not in the e92. Easily removed if you'd like some more sound.

Yeah I know. My buddy and I welded up a muffler delete two months ago. Actually sounded really good and not raspy. I put the mufflers back on though. I'm not chopping up the stock exhaust again anytime soon. I'm just gonna buy an exhaust.

I have an e90 and just got my dps installed and the sound is great. To be ho est I feel my car isles better and has a smoother cruising sound with the catless dps. This is my dd and the wife would tell me if it was bad. Instead she just said, "ah it doesn't sound any different". That was a good thing to hear.

I smelled a little fuel smell at idle outside the car on a cold startup in 30 degree weather loving the mod so far.

It should only sound a little deeper and meaner around town so definitely a wife-friendly mod.

You'll be smelling fuel on startup, but it should go away once the secondary cats heat up

This is the setup I run and love it. Deeper sound, but not much louder.

Catless downpipes with the stock exhaust actually sounds really good. Kind of louder than the performance exhaust.
