what is this tire recall? for those of us who have bridgestones under 10k miles free tires?

what do we have to complain about? is this still a valid recall? we are supposed to have contis right?

It is only for Bridgestone Turanzas. Potenzas are not covered.
If you get humming noise when driving at 30 mph and up, you should go to the dealer and complain about the rough and noisy ride. Technical term is called the "heel and toe wear".

Between 0~10k, you'll get 4 new tires for free. Between 10~20k, you'll pay 50% parts and 0% labor. Keep in mind dealers already jacked up the prices of these tires compared to what you would find on tirerack.com.

I was able to get 4 new Continental SSR's for $400 + tax even though my car is at 23k. My dealership has a record of me bitching about humming noise at 18k. Even with that, I had to get BMW North America involved and have them give the local service manager a call.

Good luck. I heard some dealers won't let you go for Conti's. They will offer the supposedly improved Turanzas.

I am extremely satisfied with the ride quality of Conti's. 1000% better than the piece of crap Turanzas. German tires for German cars! I am boycotting Bridgestone tires for the rest of my life.
