Car BACK in for electrical issue

see this thread for reference:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=595372

My car was at BMW for almost a full month getting an electrical issue fixed... I payed $2600 out of pocket for this. ive been driving my car for a week and the fucking issue just happened again.

Update - car back in, they'll be investigating an old water leak more thoroughly - if they can find any corroding wires insurance will pay me back for everything. Keep all your fingers crossed for corroded wires!!

how does one successfully argue this with them to get money back? they have an upper hand in that they could just say "oh what we did needed to be done... give us more money"

I would at least call BMW NA on Monday as well and explain the whole situation. That seems to motivate the dealers into being a little more competent as BMW will contact the service manager at the dealership. Then you at least have the attention of someone who is supposed to know wtf he's talking about, and some documentation of the problem. BMW NA can also get "engineers" involved if the dealer is clueless. The number I have in my phone is (800) 831-1117, but I haven't called in about a year.

It was logical to think that the wire was melting because of a problem and the problem was not the wire itself.

You may want to remove any extra electrical devices that you may have installed, like the tune and the meth kit, in order to make sure that those did not had something to do with the problem.

I haven't had a meth kit installed for a long time now and my tune was removed by the dealer during all of this (and I didn't put it back on as a precaution for a couple weeks)

in most situations in life it is more desired and wise to approach things in a respectful mature manner. but in cases like this fuck em. go in there cursing a storm and flipping shit. it actually gets the job done easier in 'dealership' scenarios. fuckin crums

if you know a good indy shop you better off getting an opinion from there. After getting some warranty work done at the dealer, my indy finds more issues
I did not have a good experience at BMW of North Haven, and after your experience i think I will finally switch, but is BMW of Bridgeport any better?

Sucks.

Pretty sure I said this would happen. Once an electrical issue, always an electrical issue.

BMW should repair it for free if you bring it back. You should have no issues since they supposedly fixed the issue and yet it has come back. They are pretty good like that
