Sub install through Ski Boot

I recently completed a sub install using the ski boot pass through. I wanted better sound without filling my trunk and major modifications. The "factory" look was important to me.

I came up with this design. Sub is a polk 8" mm series with a polk 300 rms x 1 amp. That sub is especially fitting in this car because it only requires .33 cubic foot air space. The amp is small and fits perfectly into the rack just below where the xm receiver is housed. You dont ever see it.

Sub is inside mounted so that it would fit into the space of the ski boot pass through. Trim was added to house matching amber interior lights. LED Lights come on with headlights. Arm rest can still close if i need the space for three people in the back.

A Line Lever Converter with a remote for amp turn on was integrated into the factory sub wires.

Sounds excellent. Just thought I would share with you all.

Please post pics from inside the boot! I would like to see how much space is stolen from the trunk.

I need to check the area behind my arm rest... i dont think 'ski' access...

I'd like to see trunk pics also. Keen to know if this same setup can be run from an e93.
The orange looks to match the interior lights perfectly.
What was the total cost for setup an where did the box get made?
