Need Injector Help

Hey Guys,

Need a little help with my injector change. Dreaded cylinder #5.

The new injector I have which I double checked is Part # 13 537 585 261

Which is for a 2006 09 build e92.

After pulling the old injector out I've noticed the injector looks slightly different through the housing the overall dimensions look ok. Is this just an updated housing or is something not right.

A picture is attached.

Appreciate the help.

I've never seen the injectors that were changed but there was a recall on all injectors so this is likely the updated version. You need to get the injector coded though. It's not as simple as a swap FYI. Do the part numbers cross reference correctly?

Thanks for the feedback. I hope it's an updated design cross checking the part #'s now.

I have GT1 DIS v57 and SSS v32 installed on my laptop. The coding won't be an issue, I just didn't expect the housing to be different.

Yes the 335i injector part was updated at some point... it will probably still work. You need recalibrate it (done at dealer or shop with the right programming unit). If you get problems, swap the other 2 injectors on the same bank, recalibrate again.
