automatic car starter?

im located in canada and I wanted to get an automatic car starter as its starting to get cold here and I don't feel like freezing getting in the car, are these bad for your car? and can anyone recommend and specific one for me? I just want to turn on the car maybe 2-3 minutes before I go to it just to heat it up

its a real pain in the ass to have one of those system install in any brand of german car.it cost a fortune and gone a get you a lot of trouble faulty code ect.my winter car is an Audi and i have learn to live whitout it

yes i understand how you feel.But you can use the seat heater i am just back from Lake George NY when we got up this morning i had two inches of snow on the car and it was pretty chilly whit the heater seats on we have been comfortable in one minute.really clever.
