PROcede Rev3 Dyno + Data Logs

Hi all,

Just installed the PROcede Rev 3 on Tuesday and decided to put it on the dyno to make sure everything was running okay. Not too happy with the results, haven't identified the problem yet so maybe some of the knowledgeable folks can chip in. My car is 100% stock down to the air filter, minus the PROcede. To start, here is the dyno graph:

I have no idea why it shows speed instead of RPM's, this is just what I got when opening it in the WinPEP viewer program. Oh also no AFR's seem to have came through with the dyno graphs, but the dyno did have a wideband measuring the AFR. It was leaner than I would have liked, running in the 14+ range up until about 4000RPMs, and then dipped to about 13.1:1 in the upper RPM range. The AFR's in the data logs from PROcede appear to be much richer, they didn't quite align up with the wideband from the dyno.

To me this HP range seems to be right about where other guys are dynoing with completely stock cars without the PROcede, so this wasn't very re-assuring.

Now, onto data logs..

I hope these are helpful parameters to have logged.

What do you all think? For a completely stock car, I was hoping that out-of-the-box performance increase would have been a bit higher.

i am confused. you posted a dyno and two logs twice. The same three images (based on the file name of the images) twice. What are you comparing?

Yeah I don't know why it does that, but I use the feature of the site to upload images, and then I take the URL it gives me and stick it inline with my post.. For some reason this results in duplicates of the images being shown.

In this post I'm not comparing anything, just posting my results. I'm comparing to what I generally see of other people's posts that have dyno graphs.

Scotto- That's pretty much stock boost level. Boost is even lower than even the minimum boost setting (which is 11psi). My guess is that the Procede is reading some sort of fault and switching over to pass-thru mode. Or you are in valet mode. There are only 3 o 4 possible causes. Might be easiest to just call us tomorrow when you are with your car and one of us can help you.

are you sure your procede is wired up correctly to your DME? can you switch maps with your cruise stalk?

Thanks Shiv for the quick reply.

Yeah I thought it looked stock boost levels as well. What do you think of the large fuel corrections?

The car feels more powerful, at least by the butt dyno, so I wouldn't think Procede isn't doing ANYTHING.. But I think we all know that butt dyno's are not a very good way to measure anything

I'd be disappointed too; that is stock power. Like Shiv said, it's more than likely a very quick fix... could be a faulty procede as well.

I'm like 99.99% sure it is on map 1, because at one point I added the current map parameter to the data log channel to confirm it.

But maybe like Shiv said it is detecting something wrong and automatically disabling itself, even though I have it in map 1?

For what it's worth, my car went bonkers as soon as I started rolling on the dyno. It was complaining that like all major safety systems were disabled, air bags, ABS, etc.. I don't think it liked having the back wheels spinning w/o the fronts as well.

Lol its simple
Get in car: bump cruise control stalk up if it says your on map 1 thwn while on map 1 double clicl hazard light to make your fuel gauge a boost gauge and if you see 13ish psi then youre good, if not then theres a problem.
I personnaly think either install error or map 0

Do you have still the old software dme. Has the car ever been updated with software?
Reason I am saying is because I have original software 27.xx and the 7-29 maps will not work correctly with my car. Can not boost more than 11 psi. Changed over to 7-11 and everything works fine again. I know of a couple of people also experiencing this with 7-29 maps. It's something weird I tell you about these cars and software. Very finicky

Hrm.. I'm not sure what software the DME is running. I'll have to look into that.

I recently had the car to the dealer for some A/C warranty work, I specifically asked the SA if they ran any software updates and he said no. I'm not sure if software updates show up on the statement of work that I got, but there weren't any there..

Looking at the 'CAN Oil Temp' parameter, then the oil temps started the run at 227*F and ended about 235* F .. So yes, they were warm.

Enrita brings up a good point - was your oil temp above the minimum temp needed? It runs low boost until then

/edit/ you beat me
