New starter installed.

I got the new starter installed last night. Just a few picks , it was a lot easer than I thought to do it.

Can't see your pics. Maybe it's an iPhone thing.

When it starts grinding after you start it, that's the sign.

possibly the worst DIY you could ever do on your car, the starter is such a PIA to get to on these engines.

How much in labor would one of these cost to get replaced? I know it's like $250 at tischer for the starter itself.

Its 3-3.5 to swap the intake manifold so I would say that's pretty close.

I just had my starter done by the dealership since the car was under warranty and the dumbass tech f'ed up my 3-stage manifold intake gasket. Pinched it and had a vacuum leek. Sometimes I wonder if techs know what there doing. Had to take it back in for them to finish.

I remember it was a nightmare to replace the intake manifold on a E46. It took me over 6 hours
