Intake on turbo'ed cars don't give much gains...

It's likely for sound and looks...

the downpipe and exhaust is what i'd put my money towards, instead of 2G's for the gruppe M..

Intakes can give great gains, it just depends how good or bad the stock intake is. As far as price, I can see $500, but $2000? You can buy new larger turbos with a custom downpipe for less than that.

not quite true, but partially.

if you just put an intake on a stock turbo'd car, you won't see much of a gain in hp/tq, but once you have intake, exhaust, and a downpipe you will see a noticably bigger gain than with just exhaust and a downpipe. Add you procede (or whichever piggyback you guys prefer, not trying to start a war), and watch out!

wow, if this is truly the case, then i'd argue that you currently have the fastest 335i in the world.

I guess I'm a bit of a skeptic. If you did a custom 105 octane tune then I might be able to believe it, but how did you cut a 1.60 60' time? What tires do you run on? Do you have any other time slips from cars that day that we can use as a reasonability gauge? Like, a stock Corvette, or a stock 335, etc.

Oh also on topic about the aftermarket intake.

I think the stock instake inself is very good. Just need to get an aftermarket drop in filter.

Free flowing exhaust is obvious but what are you referring to with the Machinist? Did you modify your stock turbos?

1.60 foot time is very hard to cut. Esp with the 335i with the mods out for it right now. You would need to run at least n2o or somthing.

A buddy of mine that is the R&D president of magna flow has a 9 sec camero SS that makes 480 rwhp and 470 wtq off the bottle. ( he also runs a 250-300 shot)

Its gutted with just basicly 2 race seats in the car with 32 inch m/t slicks it runs 1.50 60 foots with a 6k rpm dump ( still bogs ).

Basicly what im saying is a 335i with

" Proceed, custom metallic exhust, ZZP, Sport, 19" A/C's H&R springs, AA Blow off Kit, custom intercooler pipping. " cutting that 60 foot time doesnt make sense.
